Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python.
• Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ingest data from various sources into data warehouse.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data requirements and provide timely and accurate data solutions.
• Optimize and maintain database performance, including indexing, query optimization, and partitioning.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data pipelines and systems.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices in data engineering and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, indexing, and optimization techniques.
• Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Airflow, Talend, Informatica).
• Knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
• Understanding of data security, data governance, and data privacy best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
