Responsibilities/Skills :

• QA Automation Specialist owns, delivers and is accountable for all aspects of testing within their scope, which is typically from agile and waterfall modes of delivery.
• Coordinates a diverse team cutting accross varied products for a sector in the BT Business unit and creates the initial test schedule to deliver all aspects of testing to time, budget and quality targets, holding accountability for producing outlines of solutions and defining depth of testing required.
• Accountable for all test process related activities throughout the lifecycle for their sector, including test estimation across their defined area.
• Responsible for the Test Scope and ensures the scope is tested in an optimal way within the delivery timescales/launch timeline.
• Responsible for management of test planning and execution, to achieve business milestones, and in particular to support ‘bug fix’ and retest within the defined milestones.
• Monitors day to day activities to ensure all objectives are achieved, enhance coverage & velocity, reviewing reports and statistics.
• Ensures Quality Gates are implemented accross e2e phases and advocates for production deployment only with QA sign off
• Manages a team of Team size between 50 and 300. This could be either BT FTE and/or subcon.
• Knowledge on test tools and automation, focus on Automation at every possible stage of SDLC phase.
• Drives QA transformation – looks for market wide best practices and adopt them, through tools, technology and processes
• Ensures sizing of the team is intact(inc of partners) and the team is rightly skilled
• Hands on experience in creation of Automation Framework
• Defining right set of tools for Automation
• Hands on Automation tools – Selenium, Cucumber, UFT, Postman, Java & Python
• Exposure on Mobile testing using Perfecto, Browserstack,Percy, Appium..
• Experience on BDD framework, Hands on API testing
• Designing and writing test automation scripts
• Defining Automation strategy for the requirements
• Collating and Monitoring the defect management process
• Hands on Experience in Hyper Test Automation
• Extensive Professional Test experience
• Telecom OSS/BSS domain knowledge
• Implementing process improvements through retrospective learnings
• Should have experience in using Devtools
• Should have experience in developing reusable utility methods for faster Test Automation scripting
• Good to have experience working in key word driven Robotic framework
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Knowledge on testing phases and concepts
• ISTQB Certification, Agile Certification
