Amazon, a global leader in e-commerce and technology services, is currently recruiting for the role of Quality Assurance Tech in Software Fault Tolerance (SFT) for its Bengaluru location. Candidates applying for this position are required to possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of technical education. This opportunity is particularly suitable for freshers, as no prior experience is necessary. As a Quality Assurance Tech at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Testing Applications and Products both manually and using automated tools.
• Install and configure software, use debug settings, and have technical ability to gather logs, traces, etc. to add to bug reports when provided with instructions.
• Run automated scripts, analyze failures and support automation.
• Identify issues, deep dive, troubleshoot, communicate with stakeholders and escalation issues, and provide status reports.
• Assist developers or other testers and maintain a high-quality test environment, recommends improvements to SOPs, tools, and metrics.

Skills:

• A technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)
• 3+ years experience
• Strong Unix base O/S experience or proven ability to pick up Linux quickly
• Ability to do scripting (any one of Shell, Perl, Python etc.)
• Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with programming languages Java or C++ or C
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Strong understanding of support – tickets, monitoring, processes and metrics
• A passion towards problem-solving
• Strong decision-making ability
• Must be able to think proactively; excellent follow-through and attention to details.
• Willing to work in 12×7 on-call support (on rotation basis)
